چکیده
Real-time modeling of a water distribution system (WDS) is critical step for the control and operation such systems. The nodal demand, as most important time-varying parameter, must be estimated in real time. computational burden demand estimation intensive, leading to inefficiency large-scale networks. Jacobian matrix computation Hessian inversion are main processes that dominate To address this problem, an approach shortening time real-time network proposed. This allows efficiently computed based on solving linear equations, method partitioning iterative Woodbury-Matrix-Identity Formula developed applied network, which number demands 12523, measurements ranges from 10 2000. results show consumptions within 465.3 ms 1219.0 ms, respectively. consumption significantly shortened compared with existing approach, especially WDSs.

Estimation of Water Demand in Water Distribution Systems Using Particle Swarm Optimization
Abstract: Demand estimation in a water distribution network provides crucial data for monitoring and controlling systems. Because of budgetary and physical constraints, there is a need to estimate water demand from a limited number of sensor measurements. The demand estimation problem is underdetermined because of the limited sensor data and the implicit relationships between nodal demands and ...
متن کاملParallel Simulation of Large-scale Water Distribution Systems
This paper describes the development of parallel algorithms for the processing of telemetry data in the specific context of water distribution networks. Today’s increasing complexity of such systems, together with the requirement for smaller discretisation intervals means that the task of simulating large-scale water distribution networks frequently outgrows the computational power of economica...

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Optimal Node Grouping for Water Distribution System Demand Estimation
Real-time state estimation is defined as the process of calculating the state variable of interest in real time not being directly measured. In a water distribution system (WDS), nodal demands are often considered as the state variable (i.e., unknown variable) and can be estimated using nodal pressures and pipe flow rates measured at sensors installed throughout the system. Nodes are often grou...
